A Second Life by Dermot Bolger

After a near death experience a photographer who was adopted goes in search of his real mother. It becomes his obsession.

Deals with the emotive issue of how awful Ireland was before the Catholic Church lost its power over the women in the country. A good advert for progress.

Bolger is a fab writer.
